Great piece. BTW, I also think, among the most important parts of this whole discussion was at the opening where you said, “before you get it, you need to pitch it to the person who can give it to you.” In other words, in order to win a pitch, you actually have to DO the pitch in the first place. The taking action part, I think, is where a lot of people fall short. (I’m not talking about business development people, for whom pitching is their job. I’m talking about entrepreneurs who think about pitching things, but don’t take action on it.) Great advice in here. :-)
