I love your ideas on creating contrast, in particular. The example w/ the dogs (Golden Retriever) clearly shows the advantages of this approach. I also like the “don’t / do” graphical approach to this article.
The only item I’m in disagreement with you on would be the bullets. I think it looks wrong with them hanging out to the left like that. I don’t mind them flush as in your “don’t” example. But, if anything, I’d actually prefer to *indent* them.
But, admittedly, a lot of design is subjective. And, of course, in the end, we half the time wind up doing whatever the client wants, which might be god-awful! Nice article!
