IDK if most sites have disabled this yet. For example, I just now tried the first site that came to mind — the New York Times, which I knew had this paywall.

Step 1: Visit page… I get the paywall

Step 2: Disable Javascript and reload:

I’m sure some have, of course, but the trick still works on a whole lot of sites, I’d estimate. I do agree that it’s frustrating when search results point to paywall sites. They should put those at the bottom.
