That said, to quote the final lines of my own article, “contrary to what the Wall Street Journal wants you to believe, Corporate America doesn’t always reward ingenuity. The hard truth is that, if you invent a “better way,” you might just invent your way out of a job.” That’s why we coders don’t tell our secrets (well, until much later / in retrospect when it doesn’t matter).
