Nice piece. :-) Another common no-no I see among new clients that come to my agency is a failure to optimize images — esp. bulky background images that take forever to load and don’t contribute much at all to the design. IDK why so many designers feel it’s okay to pop a 500k blurry background on a page when a 40k optimized version of the same thing can be there with no noticeable difference in design quality. But, it’s *so* common!
