Thanks, Mike. Yeah, I’d known about the Nord, but frankly left it out of this article based solely on cost. (New, they run around $3,600 USD at the moment — which put them out of the running for me, as I travel to a lot of places where the risk of a total loss is very real.) But, for any serious working musicians happening past this article for the purpose of finding a ton of functionality / capabilities / effects / etc. *and* portability in a keyboard, the Nord Compact should definitely be considered.

For anyone wondering, the Nord Stage Compact 3 is 42" wide, 4" tall, and 12" deep. I weights just 22 lbs. So, it would definitely transport very well, although you’d want to protect it with great care of course! Here’s a pic!
