With the "Medium writers are welcome to promote themselves and their products/services in their writer bio," I was always (probably wrongly) thinking they meant any bio you pop at the bottom of an article -- the "Shaunta Grimes is a writer and teacher..." part. Mine's like yours, with various links to books, social media, and an author site. And I do get curated & so do you, so I assume that's also a-okay (as it's kinda-sorta self-promo).
