Yes, that would be completely different from what I'm describing, although it would have some similarities ultimately within the code. But, you'd likely have to script such a thing tightly integrated in with the art-creation tool (Blender or whatever). I've seen many 3D *possibly* generative sets out there (Super Yetis, maybe?), and a number of generative animated sets. Not sure off-hand if I've seen 3D and animation -- oh!, maybe the Fluf world.
